This hand from tonight's PS 20K guaranteed. I was doing pretty well until this hand, but ended up finishing in 55th place. I seem to freeze up later in the tournament, especially when some draw is involved, I turn into a calling station. Also this was near 90th place if I remember right, with w/ 81st place being in the money. What should I have done here instead of my calling station mess up?

I would have raised him to see if his hand was legit. If he called, and bet on the turn, then I would have folded. Only reason to stay in is to hope that another spade comes and your 10 /images/graemlins/spade.gif holds up. What did he end up having btw?

I would fold. What did he call your raise with? He almost certainly has you beat with an A, K or overpair.

You could reraise, but it would really be a bluff. He might fold hands like KQ or JJ.

Yeah, I would have auto folded to his bet if the three spades weren't there, but with the spades I felt like I had a decent flush draw. On the turn I also picked up an inside straight draw. I would also have folded to a pot sized bet, but with his 1/3 of the pot bet I was less sure of what to do as I had the odds but it was a significant portion of my stack.

I think my options were:

a) Bet/Push on the flop representing a made flush
b) Checkraise his bet w/ a 20K/30K bet or push
c) Bet the turn representing a straight
d) Fold to his flop bet

What do you guys think of these? Also if I wasn't close to the money (81st place) I would have considered pushing on the flop, is that too aggressive?

Oh, and what do you guys think about my pf raise?

Here is what he had:
<font color="white">
ATo for a top pair.
I have a feeling he would have called my raise w/ his Ace, definitely would have called a raise on the turn with top pair + inside straight draw. Not sure about a flop push, I would have been afraid of the spade w/ ATo

He called a huge raise coming from the SB, so he had to put you on about four possible hands, worst of them being AK. I'd bet about 2/3xPot on the flop and check it thru, or fold to a raise if not helped.

The way you played it, I think, it was fairly obvious that you considered yourself behind after the flop and gave him the control of the hand.

Actually, with the draw, the flat call on the flop was probably good. The call on the turn was more marginal.
