View Full Version : Painful reraise on end.

The winner of this hand (not me) held 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif.

I have two questions both in red in the hand history.

1. Should I have called for 0.2 on the flop? I figured that with six over cards it was worth it ot see the next card for that.

2. Should I have (and I'm thinking I shouldn't have) reraised on the end? I was figuring that the bettor was raising with a pair since there was so little action up to then and figured I had him beat.

How could I have improved this hand?

Thanks,
Justin

Ouch..... the river card brought the possible flush and we have a paired board. You have only 2-pair, and one of them is on the board. Someone bets twice the pot into you.... he most certainly should have a boat, a flush, or at an absolute minimum (if he isnt too good) trips.

Fold here, every time!!!! He bet enough that he has shown he is committed to his hand so the river raise wont get him to fold a better hand.

Hey GlemZurg,
Others already posted good hand analysis. Just wanted to advise that in the future you should leave the results out of your post. Putting the results in makes for very biased replies because they know what happens. Leave the results out, and you'll see how someone else really would have played it.

Good luck,

call me weak tight but I'd probably fold the flop. You have nothing but unrelated overcards.

also, the river raise is really silly (but you already knew that) with a pair already on the board and it brought a third flush card.
