Out in the middle. Just didn't have it today. When you sit there and stare blankly at the screen without excitement you know you have pokeritis (a malady caused by playing too much poker)...

Frenchie
09-04-2004, 12:31 AM
That is exactly what I keep telling myself when I manage to get back up to average stack. Just crack AA with AK by turning a straight. Up to 12718

Would you care to explain how you busted Gonzoe?

Did you reneg on your promise to not play stupid anymore?

daryn
09-04-2004, 02:45 AM
oops i forgot. didn't want to whine at the time..

i had AK and came in for a raise, got a caller. flop comes J22 i think... he checks, i bet, he calls.

turn is a rag, he checks, i bet, he calls.

river Q, he checks, i check.

AQ baby.

that kinda crippled me.. busted shortly after where my opponent flopped the ace high flush on me, which as el diablo knows, is a very good hand in the game of texas holdem.

out 68th. misplayed 2 hands at the end, sigh

renodoc
09-04-2004, 11:17 AM
Well, after I busted I hung on the rail a bit and watched a player go all in with 13 chips when the average was over 20,000. The guy ended up getting a seat! I guess it really happens....

cokehead
09-04-2004, 11:56 AM
that guy was at my table. MrBayes

steveyz
09-04-2004, 12:06 PM
I was there at this table. He had to win all-in 4 or 5 times just to have enough to cover the big blind (1000 at the time). It was incredible. Unfortunately I finished in the $, but out of the cruise.

daryn
09-04-2004, 12:41 PM
so i assume you raised that AJ?

steveyz
09-04-2004, 12:55 PM
Not only that, but a big stack in LP 3-bet me ... and I thought for a long time and I (he showed AQo). Then the next hand it's folded to the SB who raises BB and BB calls and loses, so I backdoor into the money. I think somewhere in the middle of the hand, I decided that I didn't want to finish 23rd because it'd bug me too much, not really because I wanted 2.3k, but because I would have played 9 hours (till 6am) for nothing.
