View Full Version : Two pair with top pair, weak kicker

Here is a 'kind of' theory question, it is based on me tinkering with Texas Turbo Holdem games settings to understand modelling rules better:

You hold Q5o in the BB, no preflop raises, three players total, the flop comes Q47, suits do not matter. You bet. You get one caller.

Turn pairs up the 4, so the board is now Q474...now:

1. Do you bet?

2. Do you change the answer above if the opponent is strong?

3. Or weak?

Ok, you bet, other player calls, river is a 2. now:

4. Do you bet?

5. Do you change the answer above if the opponent is strong?

6. Or weak?

7. You bet and the opponent raises. Do you call or fold?

Thanks for your responses,

Mark

With this board I wouldnt bet the river here (induce bluff, you might be behind, a worse hand wouldnt pay off probably etc). If opponent is aggressive I would check-call river (he would probably have raised a Q on the flop). I would bet the turn though (he could call flop with AT, AJ, 7x and the like, and want them out). If he's weak I would always bet the turn, if he's strong probably also a good percentage of the time, but I dont like the situation much (because he could raise me to push me off a queen).
