I'm looking for some advice about this, bankroll requirements etc. Anyone out there making a living off of SnG? Looks enticing yet I've lived through 6,7,8 episodes in a single day of 'out of the money'. Those of you who have played huge volume of SnG know what I'm talking about.

This SnG-for-a-living topic seems to be a highly specialized online poker knowledge domain.

Is making a nice living possible playing, say, $200 SnG? What are the ratios for proper bankroll etc if so? Other considerations such as selection of site, day of week, time of day etc? # of tables to play a day? Total time of 6 hours a day implies 8 tables a day; what about multi-tabling etc.

Making 20% of the buyin per table played (long run average at lower stakes in this format) implies $40 per table, 2X multi-tabling looks lucrative @ $80 per 45 minutes or 1.77 per minute .......looks like over $630 per 6-hour play-day.

Can this be right?

Anyone making this kind of living as a SnG specialist? Do you multitable to get it done? Discuss.

There is a post about this a while with some quick and dirty figures about yearly income from SNGs, assuming 8-hour work days, 5 days a week. I believe in the $50s there was a substantial yearly take. I believe the figure for $20's was like, 21K a year, which is in line with my figures so far on the year. So, look for that post, I will look as well and post a link if I find it. As for living off SNGs, I am not the best example, but I get all my money from SNGs during school, I make a decent amount weekly, although when speaking of full time employment you have to also consider pricing out health, dental, car, home owners insurances, etc, and subtracting those premiums from your bottom line, after doing this living strictly off of poker isnt nearly as enticing.
