How do you reckon this play? Was it just laggy, and if so, what would be a big enough pair to justify the raise? I was raising with the intention of getting the smallish stack all-in, or even better - winning the pot right there. I also thought that I had big enough a stack to gamble a bit.

** Dealing down cards **

2 fold
kid4st calls [50].
PaNcReAs66 raises [200].
OlaviK raises [600].
5 fold
PaNcReAs66 is all-In.
OlaviK calls [23].

** Dealing Flop ** [ Kh, Qc, 4h ]

** Dealing Turn ** [ Jc ]

** Dealing River ** [ 5d ]

OlaviK shows [ 7h, 7s ] a pair of sevens.
PaNcReAs66 shows [ As, Kd ] a pair of kings.
PaNcReAs66 wins 1371 chips from the main pot with a pair of kings.

In retrospect, I don't think it was wise. Two sevens can't be too much ahead of the hands the villain is likely to raise with, and if it's a pocket pair, he's miles ahead. It is also, of course, possible that I get up against two or more all-ins, which would be horrible. Would this play be ok with 99, TT, JJ?

There are still 9 players here. If he has two overcards, you are only slight favorite. If you win, you'll be tied for 3rd and you are hardly guaranteed ITM. If he hits, or is beating you right now... well you are out. What's more, someone bet right into you, and there is still one player to act. If you do choose to go at this, you have to push but I think, with someone betting into you, and 9 players left, this is a fold.
low and middle pocket pairs are pushing hands when you are down to teh bubble or better. but when there are this many people, you are playing them for the set value.
