Check it out:

The dude is brillant at making final tables, but has serious trouble bringing home the bacon. Is it a flaw in his game? Or has he just been unlucky, like he seemed to be on the WPT rerun last night?

No idea, but I want him to be called the Bruce Lee of poker, LOL. not really anything to do with his asian descent, but with the look he gets when he goes to the tank. He tilts his head and gets this look on his face that for some reason really reminds me of bruce lee.

One of John Juanda's former favorite plays, and one that got him a LOT of chips at the final few tables in tournaments has been somewhat taken away from him recently because of overuse.

Basically, when the tournament was down to the final few tabels, people are kinda desperate to some degree and overaggressive players tend to bet too much to steal the blinds. So when Juanda was in the BB, and he would notice a LP player try to raise a bit too much(tipping off a weak ace or a small pair), Juanda would push in from the BB with nearly any two cards and force the opponent to lay down their hand. Lots of players have caught onto this and also there are lots more clueless noobs where this play will not work. THis was a great chip building play and I think because Juanda no longer has this weapon available very often, that he tends to go to final tables with fewer chips than in the past

That is a useful play. I use it too, but only if i have an ace or pair myself.

Interesting response to a serious post. Welcome to the forum.
