You are down to two players in a large, multi player tournament.
You have $300,000. Your opponent has $300,000.
Blinds are $10K/$20K. You are in small blind and hold a pair of fives. You raise to $60K. Your opponent, without looking at his cards, reraises to $140K. What’s your move?
Would your move change if:
A. You perceive yourself to be a much stronger player than your opponent (i.e. you are a tournament professional playing a relative new comer – not an idiot, but someone who is not well known)
B. You are this relative newcomer and you are playing a top professional.
C. You just completed the blind and your opponent, again without looking, raises to $120K
D. If your opponent made the same move, but looked at his cards first, would this change any of your decisions?
