whether cash/ring game, SNG streaks, MTT final tables and wins, etc.

my biggest poker accomplishment so far was making the final table of a 500 FPP Satellite to the weekly $215 NL Tourney.
seeing as how i'm a fairly new player (under a year of experience) with bankroll concerns, i chose the $215 Tourney Dollars and used them toward SNGs rather than play the tournament.

probably my last month 2nd place finish in a 1200 player tourney.

I've won a couple, but never with so little risk (10 bucks) with such a big field for such good money (1700) - so that's my best so far.

I won a 200 Person $30 +3 Tourney for over 1,500.

3 days later I won a 50 person omaha 20 +2 for another 300.

It was a nice streak!

Mine are.....

Stars $500+30 8th out of 600 for $7200
Stars $200+15 5th out of 900 for $9500

Both games were within 3 weeks. That was nice.

becoming way less results oriented

and getting a couple of my college friends who had never played before to play in a home game. Without any book reading the majority of them are winning Party players within a year from learning the rules of the game.

The month of August. Came within a couple hundred bucks of my full time job's pre-tax salary for the month. 3 tables, about 20hrs/week, one third Party 3/6, two thirds Party 5/10 full.

Biggest win was 1st in a $33 1231 player Party tournament.

Biggest accomplishment was learning to throw away JT at the 5/10 SH tables.

Winning back to back NL tourneys in one day. First one was a 120 something player tourney and the second one had just over 200 players in it. That's not much compared to what you guys have done, but it sure felt cool to win back to back MTTs. Hopefully I'll do well in the $250k tourney on stars this weekend and have a new biggest accomplishment.

Building rolls out of nearly nothing.

My latest is going from $.15 to $140k. Actually, actual 'won' money is about $9+k in operating BR.

Tourney? Long ago i played in a little 2 table tourney at my old cardroom. 22 players total. I started with 700 chips, everyone else had 2000. That was a nice win.

I have 2:

- my first time losing $1000 in a day at 5/10, and not completely losing it.
- first and only time I played 15/30 (it was 10/20 with a 1/2 kill at $120), I lost a ~$600 pot to a guy calling 3 cold preflop with his lucky hand, J8, and catching runner runner trip 8s, and I wasn't angry or spiteful, and I didn't tilt in the slightest

I strongly believe that the hardest part about limit hold'em is dealing with the inevitable swings, and learning to cope with them is the most important part in becoming a solid player.

Love the new pic you got up!

Bet you couldn't guess, but I'm a tribe fan.

I play lower limits than you, but I know feel much different when I see my AA get cracked by an A6 - where I had 3 bet the flop of K52 only for him to hit runner runner 6.

I used to go on tilt, I know realize this is the guy I want at my table.

Thank you 2 + 2!!!!!!

Last year - Winning $1150 on a PP $10+1 NLHE MTT (1st of 463) after only playing poker for 2 months.

Miraculously breaking even when I first started playing Party. I jumped up to the $1/$2 SH tables with absolutely no idea what I was doing (my VPIP was in the 60-70%).

This was pre 2+2. I've finished WLLH (meh) and in the middle of SSH, but most of my money is won (and lost) on the NL tables.

There are a couple of recent milestones that I acheived which I consider great poker accomplishments:

1. I actually folded pocket aces before the flop in a recent 30-60 game. It was the only time I did it, but I did it. Now, I will never do it again. Heheh...

2. I suffered my biggest loss on ( about 80 BB ) in a single 8 hour session and didn't once go on tilt or play poorly. I played my A game to perfection.

Another honorable mention for me is that I am the home game tourney champ. We run a friendly home game every now and then and I have bragging rights to placing more times in the money than any of my fellow chumps. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't brag about this.

Don't admit it.

If you have any respect for yourself, you'll never bring it up again.

it was basically getting a $2000 stack on NL200, the other two tables of NL200 I was playing I also made some good money at too, so it was my best session ever. the PPM semifinal window was open just because I was sweating daryn in the PPM (congrats for winning a seat).

Mine has to be winning a 1500 person NLHE MTT this February. This was awesome for me, because I had only been treating poker as a serious hobby for a month or two prior to my victory.

I'm tempted, however, to say that even better than my no-limit victory is the fact that in the first two Stud H/L MTTs I ever played, I finished in 1st and 2nd, respectively (and finished 1st literally 5 hours after my first experience with the game--which was reading Sklansky's section in Super/System). I finished in 7th in my third Stud H/L MTT, making 3 final tables in my first 3 tournaments of that genre (and leading me to the retrospectively absurd conclusion that I was the next Stu Ungar of the Stud H/L world).
