First hand at new table...
Hero has 44 in BB
UTG limps, everyone folds to Hero who checks...
Flop: J73 rainbow
check, check
Turn: 3
Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero folds...
How should this be played?

Im getting tired of bumping my threads cuz they are off the front page in five seconds, so this one is a boom...

Did the turn complete the rainbow or put a two flush on board?
Whatever, I'm not folding this turn. I guess your opponent is representing 77 or a limped overpair. His line seems fishy enough. I'm calling down.

No flush possible...
Should i have raised preflop?
Right after I bet out I decided that it was a bad play, i think check/calling down is better...

Yeah it looks fishy but the pots so small is it really worth 2 bets calling down? I don't think I'd do it.

Agreed. Pot is way too small to call down here. You are drawing to two outs when behind and he has at least six if you're ahead.
