View Full Version : Two very similar AA hands

Here are two very similar hands I played on back to back days. In one I made a river fold and on the other I didn't. What were the correct river plays and were they close?

30/60 Commerce

I raise UTG with AA . Blinds call.

Flop J 9 x two-flush. SB bet, BB fold, I raise, SB 3-bet, I call.

Turn 8 . SB bet, I call.

River Q (no flush). SB bet, I call.

Next day...

20/40 Commerce

I raise A A UTG. Blinds call.

Flop: Q 9 7 two-flush. Checked to me, I bet, SB calls and BB folds. SB seems like a solid player.

Turn: 10 , putting out a second flush draw. SB checks, I bet, SB calls.

River: 6 , making the backdoor flush. SB bets immediately. My physical read is that she got there in one form or another. I folded.

Are my river plays consistent? Are they reasonable?

Good fold in hand 2. Hand 1, you're likely facing a flopped set or a busted flush. Cry call.
