Who you choose to associate with in life does reflect on your potential as a President, where appointing good and qualified people is such a major part of the job.

Contrast our first major selection of our potential administrations:

I chose Cheney, a man qualified to be President if needed.

Kerry chose Edwards, one of the least experienced US Senators in the country.

Selecting a wife may say less, since /images/graemlins/heart.giflove/images/graemlins/heart.gif is a big part of it.
