Preflop: Nothing strange here except only getting a single caller.

Flop: I don't think firing here is wrong when it is heads-up and there is a good chance the flop missed him completely. When he raises me... hmmm... maybe a typical heads-up raise, flush draw with over cards or he caught something... Don't know whether folding, calling or raising is best here.

Turn: I figure it is a good opportunity to bluff since my flop-call looks like overcards. He calls making me feel he is on a draw. An ace seems unlikely.

River: No flush possible and I want a cheap showdown since I dont't have anything and even if he was drawing to a flush he could have a pair of sevens.

CO shows Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif and MHIG.

Any thoughts besides wondering why I overanalyze a $0.5/$1.0 PP player? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

looks fine. The flop raise worries me as i see so very few people raising flush draws at .5/1!

I would have made CO for a J/7. As such, i'd bet the A and probably bet an A river as you'd get raised by a strong holding.

Make a note on this player - they had the right idea heads up trying to secure a free card, raisers of flush draws at .5/1 have at least some idea of how to play. Of course, raising flush draws heads up for any reason other than a free card is incorrect.

Keep up the overanalysis!!

CO is not going to fold the turn if he has Jacks or a flush draw, however the bet is probably good because it gives him an oportunity to drop and you couldn't fold if you checked and he bet. I don't automatically put CO on a flush draw , a loose .5/1 player(often the case) could have a hand like QJ[s or u], KJ[s or u] and be scared by the raise and the ace. Betting the river seems good. It might make a Jack fold in a weak player or a flush draw that made a weak pair.
Just my thoughts
