Right i totally over played this,

Uh, sorta. Don't worry too much about it.

should i have 4 bet the flop to charge the flush draws?

4 bet the flop cause you have the second nuts and a bunch of callers, there are a lot of cards that could kill your action even if you're still ahead.

I'd call the river bet.

Thanks, totally overcooked that bird alright /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
So the guy that 3 bet his nut str8 he was playing correctly because of the 2 flush on board?

He played it correctly because taking people's money with the nuts is good.

You can't charge the flush draws on the flop here. With that many callers, they easily have enough pot equity to cap if you don't. You want to 4-bet the flop to charge 2-pair, top pair and overpairs.

When someone bets into you on a river blank after you cap the turn, it's a clear sign that you are in trouble. Go for the overcalls.

ok but say there wasnt a coordinated board, mwould it be better with the nut str8 to just go for an overcall to lure people in?
