Average stack is about 60K. 27-30 people left. I couldn't decide here if now would be a good time to get some blinds+extra, or if I would be better served to wait for later. I normally wait to the first to enter the pot, but his min raise made me think i could take this from him. Climbing up 7-8 spots for another $50 was not what I was after, and was only concerned about a final table.

You only had 33k, so after your push he needs to call 21k to win 54k. And he's got you covered. Since he likes the hand enough to raise, you're getting called almost every time.
