Taken from Middle Limit Holdem Poker. (Not sure if this hand has been discussed already)

You raise EP with AJs diamonds. MP, cutoff, button and blinds call. 6 players.

Flop comes 7s 4d 3h. Everyone checks.

Turn comes Js. BB bets. What should you do?

I don't have the book, so this is my opinion.

This seems like an obvious raise to me. There are now 7 big bets in the pot. If you just call, your opponents will probably be getting sufficient implied odds to draw to a gutshot straight, and they will plainly be getting correct odds to call if they have any pair (hoping to river two pair or three of a kind). If you raise, you cut your opponents odds down to 4.5:1, and they won't be getting the proper odds to make these calls.

With that many people with you on the turn it could also be a trap...maybe the better was hoping to checkraise the flop and didn't get that chance? Tough decision but I'd probably raise also.

It's already been bet. Your choice is fold, call or raise.
