View Full Version : Ben Affleck sued Foxwoods

They allow cameras in Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. But they don't allow cameras in Foxwoods poker room. Several different dealers told me on different days that they used to allow cameras, but Ben Affleck sued them when someone took his picture with a cell phone. Anyone know anything about this? The pic is supposed to be on the net.

Since he plays poker on TV, this doesn't make me think very highly of Ben Affleck.

sounds like a pretty stupid rumor. what would he sue for? it's not illegal to take pictures of somebody.

Don't know. All I know is three dealers and a floor all said the same thing. Maybe he didn't sue, but threatened to sue. That wouldn't show up on yahoo.

Who knows. I'm just repeating what they told me. Somebody who plays at foxwoods back me up. Or goto foxwoods and ask a dealer or two. It would be an odd thing for that many employees of foxwoods to say something that wasn't true. They all said it happened within the last year.

i also heard something like this the last time i was at foxwoods. i think it was the dealer.. but the way i heard it, ben just didn't like people coming right up to his face with cell phone cameras. that's it.

stories tend to be embellished more and more as they are told to more people.

wow threatened to sue? I bet Affleck lost $1 every time he "threatened to sue" then he'd be broke, celebrities get screwed over all the time...

Really, well my friends sisters friends roomates step brothers sons daughts mothers uncle said he say greg raymer lost $100,000 playing $4/8 at foxwoods.

I go to Foxwoods fairly regularly, so while I was (unfortunately) NOT there any time Mr. Affleck was, I will tell you about poker room policy.

They didn't used to care if you used your cell phone in the poker room away from the table.

Neither did Mohegan Sun (Mohegan has been closed for quite some time now, at least the poker room, which, for me, means the entire casino is shutdown).

HOWEVER, after his visit, apparently, yes, some people were clicking away with their cell phone cameras and he complained -- rightfully so, as he shouldn't be harassed, as he's there to play poker and while I'm sure he wouldn't balk if he had his picture taken AWAY from the table, while he's concentrating and improving his game, why can't people leave him alone?

Anyway... after that, they just banned -- outright banned -- cell phones from the poker room. NOT even allowed when you are walking OUT of the room. You cannot have your cell phone in your hand in the room.

Granted, you can do it on the sly and they don't complain (especially if it's not up to your ear) but that's another story.

Regardless: Ben Affleck was the bomb in "Phantoms."

They do not allow cameras in the gaming areas of Foxwoods. I know this because my brother took a picture of me playing blackjack and they told him it wasn't allowed.

whoa, whoa, whoa. take it easy on my man spongebob. just because he has about a thousand posts in three months doesn't mean he posts randomly for no reason whatsoever. I mean, that only averages out to a little over 10 usless posts a day. Umm...I mean insightful posts.
