Big cards go down in value of course, against a large field. My question is, do they go down enough to treat them like 2 7 offsuit?

Heres the situation. Im sure many of you have seen these tables.

Each hand has a least 5 or more players. Many family pots. MOST pots are being capped to 4 bets pre flop without thinning the field. Players are playing just about anything but there seems to be a lot of any two suited, connectors up to 3 gaps and a few K3 J5 types hands.

All Players are calling ALL bets and raises on the flop with 3 card flushes and 3 card straights hoping to catch 2 running cards by the end. It's Virtually impossable to bet anyone out until the river, and then only the high card hands will fold.

Because there are so many in, and the pot odds are justifying almost any call, one player in the field is of course, getting very lucky by the end in every hand.

Should a good player abandon all sets and big pairs when there is ANY kind of straight or flush possability (which is most of the time) and only play for straights and flushes themselves?

Or should the board pair often enough by the river to stay in with your big sets?

What do your results tell you about this type of game?
