Hi. I'm new to poker and this site.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A/images/graemlins/club.gif, 6/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (4 SB) J/images/graemlins/club.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif (4 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, UTG folds, MP1 calls, Hero 3-bets, BB caps, MP1 calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (8 BB) K/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, MP1 calls, Hero raises, BB calls, MP1 calls.

River: (14 BB) Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP1 bets, Hero folds, BB calls.

Final Pot: 16 BB

Results in white:
MP1 shows 8s 5s.
BB shows Js 3h.

I think I played this correctly, but I'm not sure. My idea was to just call on the turn if MP1 folded (since I didn't want to get 3-bet) and check-raise the river if the flush hit. I'm not sure what I would have done if I spiked an ace on the river. All comments are appreciated.

The flop is fine. Why did you raise the turn?

I thought my implied odds were good enough to raise the turn vs. 2 opponents but not 1 (I would have just called if MP1 folded). Not sure if I was wrong about that. Also I wouldn't have minded if someone folded as I figured I'd have a better chance to win the pot if I hit an ace on the river.

there's no value in raising the turn.
