Its a Party Poker normal $30 entry MTT. 1200 entries, 120 spots pay. There are about 170 players left, the average stack is about 6000. The blinds are 300-600. You have 8000. The small blind has 7500 in front of him. You have no specific reads on the other players, you were just moved to the table.

You are dealt A-K off suit in the big blind. what do you do in these situations?

1. It is folded all around to the SB who calls the 300 more. Do you raise or check your A-K to see the flop?

2. It is folded all around to the small blind who mini-raises to 1200. Do you call, reraise, or push?

3. It is folded all around to the small blind who calls, you raise to 1800 and he reraises to 3600 -- do you fold call or push?

4. It is folded all around to the small blind who goes all in, do you call with A-K?

Would you play the same way in each case if you had 9-9?

1. Push
2. Push
3. Push
4. Tough one. Probably I call, hoping he has a weaker ace.

With 99 I'd probably bet 1800 in 1), push in 2) and 3), and possibly fold in 4).

1. I raise 1200 more
2. This is tough, I think I push.
3. This is also tough, I probably push here.
4. Hmmm, I think I call this. I doubt the SB has AA or KK here. He PROBABLY has something like AT or a small pair, but against an unknown I would weigh an ace higher (with a pair I would expect more people to limp here and hope to catch a set.)

With 99
1. Same
2. Still tough, torn between pushing and calling and looking at a flop. I probably just call here.
3. Hard one, I probably fold
4. Fold, I am probably in a race situation and I don't like calling here to take a race, additionally I am in bad shape against TT, JJ or QQ. With the AK I think I dominate the SB most of the time, and the times I see TT-QQ I'm in nowhere near as bad of shape.
