I can't wait. Only problem is I have a Mac, and as we all know nothing but PokerRoom runs on Macs. It's a good thing the satellites go on for so long; maybe in a month or two I'll have saved enough money to grab a copy of Virtual PC.

Just registered.

Damn only 133 registered for first satellite.

I missed the Wednesday deadline so guess I'll have to wait till next week.

Know how many people were in this last year?

How many in a typical satellite?

Did you get 38th in the land one or the online one or what?

Thanks!

there was no land one last year, i got 38th in the web based final. i think there were about 2000 per freeroll. id recommend sitting out the first few orbits as play is too insane. It was reeeeeeeeeeally easy to make the semi finals, you get like 10 shots or so, but the finals have some tricky players, all in all i enjoyed it a lot.

Okay I signed up for this thing. If you win "scholarship" money, do they send it to your school or to you?

i got real [censored] up last night and ended up waking up at 130, remembering about the tournament, logged on and i got blinded down to 505 in chips with 75/150 blinds, i wouldnt be suprised if i qualified though, haha.

I'm also in this and finding it very hard to play because of the bad play in this tourney. People are calling all ins with J8o and such. I'm up to 2500 in chips after sitting out the first 20 minutes. Too bad the tourney lobby is down so I can't tell how many people are left, etc. My username on RVP is chipferg by the way.

nice coincidence they put us at the same table, until 5 people went all in on the same hand and they had to break our table.

since i had barely any chips after being super late, i went all in with 10 10, doubled up vs a 26o all in. then i pushed KK all in and lost to 24o on the usual A35 flop. goodtimes. this tourney redefines minefield, haha.

Qualified, only took 1:45 total as RVP crapshoot blinds took control. Won about 3 hands the whole tourney and just folded in while people made dumb mistakes.
