Hello everyone!

Been playing poker and lurking around here for a few months, doing quite good, mostly thx to this board and a few books /images/graemlins/smile.gif I just bought pt and thought it was time to start posting some hands, to further improve my game.

Here are a few hands that probably seems straight forward to u guys, but I wasnt so sure how to act at the river...

Hand 1:

UTG seemed very loose preflop, would probably openraise with any medium pair. The table was also very loose and passive, many family pots during the last hands, so I decided to call...

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
UTG raises, 1 fold, Hero calls, 2 folds, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls,

Flop: (8.50 SB) 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/heart.gif (4 players)
BB checks, UTG bets, Hero calls, Button folds, BB calls.

Maybe raise?

Turn: (5.75 BB) J/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks.

hmm they seem weak /images/graemlins/smile.gif

River: (5.75 BB) Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, BB
folds, UTG folds.

decided to take a stab at the pot, was a dangerous looking card and I didn't consider it likely that any of them was holding a T. What do u think?

Final Pot: 6.75 BB
Main Pot: 5.75 BB, won by Hero.
Pot 2: 1 BB, returned to Hero.

Results in white below:
Hero shows 9d 8d (high card, ace).
Outcome: Hero wins 6.75 BB.

Hand 2

Table was loose passive. Button was tight passive.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, Hero calls, 1 fold, CO calls, Button raises, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, Hero calls, CO calls.

Loose table, ok to call first bet? This was the first time I saw button raise, so I was almost certain he had a big PP or AK.

Flop: (14.50 SB) J/images/graemlins/heart.gif, K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif (7 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero checks, CO checks, Button bets, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 raises, MP1 calls, Hero 3-bets, CO folds, Button caps, BB calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds, Hero calls.

With button capping I put him on AA or KK.

Turn: (16.75 BB) 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, Button calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

Ok he does not have KK...

River: (20.75 BB) A/images/graemlins/heart.gif (4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

Ouch! Felt like all limpers hit their straights, flushes and Button hit his set /images/graemlins/smile.gif Very weak of me not to bet out here? Not sure if I would have called a single raise but most likely i would.

Final Pot: 20.75 BB
Main Pot: 20.75 BB, between Button, BB, UTG+1 and Hero. > Pot won by Hero (20.75 BB).

Results in white below:
BB shows Kh 9s (one pair, kings).
UTG+1 shows Kc 4s (one pair, kings).
Hero shows 7d 7s (three of a kind, sevens).
Button shows Ac Kd (two pair, aces and kings).
Outcome: Hero wins 20.75 BB.

Hand 3

Only played a few hands with utg, so no real reads. Main question is if you would've bet this river? What about if being bet into at the river?

Hand 1: fold preflop. This call sucks. Flop and turn are fine. Check the river.

Hand 2: bet the river.

Hand 3: looks fine.
