I was watching the Olympics today and with the track & field/swimming/etc events, everything is measured up to the hundredths of a second, and disputes are rarely encountered, since everything is handled electronically.
Can other 'judgment' Olympic events be judged likewise? For example, for gymnastics, couldn't a camera/computer be constructed that captures a gymnast's routine, then calculates how 'perfect' it is, based on how symmetrical his skills were and the overall difficulty?
