Really, I never do this, I don't know what possessed me to try it. The table had been pretty tight, and a pre-flop raise had picked up the blinds at least once, so I took a stab with Kxs. For some reason I thought his flop bet was posturing, and the river lead-out seemed very fishy. I paused to think for a moment (not an act), then raised:

Final Pot: 11 BB
<font color="green">Main Pot: 10 BB, won by Hero.</font>
<font color="green">Pot 2: 1 BB, returned to Hero.</font>

In this second hand, I know what caused me to try it: Short-handed-induced LAGness (it had been 3 handed a few minutes prior, LAGness was slowly tempering down). Also, I thought the line taken to that point might be interpretted as AK. I paused for a long time before calling his turn bet, and bet out the river quickly:

After the hand my opponent said "nice catch". It was all I could do to not blurt out HAHA I HAD BUSTED GUTSHOT L0S3R. Good times.

PS: Short-handed is quite a hoot, and seems awfully profitable. I was probably getting lucky, but I seemed to be doing alot better 4-or-less-handed than a full table. ($208 in 619 hands; that's 8bb/100!) I assume results would be different at a 6-max table, where people generally aren't quite so incompetant regarding short-handed play.

SB bets, Hero raises, SB folds.

Heh, there goes my theory. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
