When you bet 20% of your stack preflop on A2 bad things happen.

Heck with the blinds as they are I would have open pushed in Thomas' shoes preflop.

From your perspective that is a "good" beat.

Yes, it was one of the rare ones that I was on the good end of a beat.

If I have any criticism of the way the hand was played on either side it was the chicken**** lilly livered post oak min raise by me pre-flop. I should have hit it with 1800.

Oh yeah Doc I would have pushed after he limped, but a raise to 1800 seems ok as well, I just would want to try to take it without showdown since you rate to be only about a 60-40 fave assuming his two cards fall between your two cards.

I am really not comfortable with a push preflop with A5s. 2400 would have still been below my "if it's 40% of stack, push instead" limit, so I guess that would have been ok. 1800 seems like enough that he would have folded without putting the whole stack at risk. But you are right, I should have tried harder to take it without showdown.
