i am playing in the $10,000 MTT at pacific tonight, and have been a consistent winner on pacific but always seem to finish right at the bubble in the MTT by playing very few hands throughout the entire tournament, but when i get knocked out, it always seems to be by a hand that shouldnt be played (AKs vs. K9o), what kind of hands should i be playing and should i loosen up some?

Pick up TPFAP. It's perfect for what you need. It assumes you are a winning cash game player and tells you how to adjust to tournies.

To answer the question in part the key is the gap concept. The idea is that you should enter a pot with a raise with more hands than you would call a raise with.
