I recall a thread here where someone substituted some other images for the PP images, so as to remove the clutter, but I cannot find the thread. I've removed the people and the silly dealing of cards, but would really like a very plain background as I am now going at 6 or 7 tables accross two monitors and need as little distraction as possible.

Is there any hack to remove the dealer image? Thanks.

I don't know if there is one readily available online. I've made my own for Empire and Party... I will make those available sometime today.

I know you are not asking for this reason, but I really hate that the software lets people do this.

I don't think the program should run if it notices any of its files have been altered. This type of thing could be used to aid 3rd party cheating software.

It's an image file. You are replacing one picture with another picture. There is now way that can be used for cheating because pictures don't "do" anything, there just pictures.

When an upgrade installs, does it overwrite your custom images with the standard images?

Yes. Or at least, it can. It doesn't have to.

OTOH, if you wanted to seriously screw somebody up, and had access to their computer, you could rename the card image files so that , for example, the image file for the 2 of spades was the picture of the ace of hearts.

Yes, if the upgrade includes those images. Keep a copy of any table images you use in separate directory just in case.

razor is right on with his caution to save the originals as copies. I normally add -ORIG to the end of the filename of the copy.

I replaced that obnoxious warning bell when you hit the 20 second time. So annoying! I replaced it with a more pleasing sound. The warning .WAV file is "reminder.wav".
