Quest:

Find a used laptop that I can run pokertracker and party poker on. I will also be using it for MS Word, the internet and email. Screen must be at least 1024x768. OS doens't matter because I will prolly format the harddrive and install win98se on it.

Look at www.computergeeks.com (http://www.computergeeks.com), they carry used & refurb laptops. Also I've heard you can get good deals from Dell reselling refurbs & off-lease units, but I never checked it out.

Dell Latitude C600, win XP, 128ram, 11gb HD. Currently this is my poker machine. Already had an offer of 275$, if you beat that, you can have it. Battery is fine, doesn NOT have CD-ROM.

Anyone know of any place that makes cheaper laptops with the uxga screen. I want 1600x1200 but I do not need the computer to be that fast.

there's a place i know called 'Platinum Plus' (not affiliated with the Platinum Poker Club btw) where you can get one of these Lap-Taps for $20.
they're only $10 on Monday and Tuesday.

good luck

I was looking through Dell's site the other day. They tend to offer about $300 off of the new price if you buy a computer refurbished.

I have seen some 16x12s pop up at good prices at the Dell outlet.... you just have to keep checking back often.
