1) You didnt flop top pair, just middle pair w/a good kicker

2) Bet the turn, if you get c/red, you can lay it down

3) Bet the river. You've got a decent hand and he's shown a lot of weakness

the only thing i do different is betting the river. i don't like betting the turn and folding to a check/raise. if you only want to play for 1 bet, i think it's much better to check the turn and call a river bet. it costs the same, and you have better than a 0% chance of winning.
