about 5am two 10-20 games were going and my table just broke up. it was a great game perfect for my style. new table loose aggresive some passive players. to bad no bad beat jackpot watched two players go 8 bets on the river with

a 10 3 a a ------ on the board

action was only stopped because the player with kk (other player held a10) performed a string bet

anyway

villian is in the bb was sitting in the 1 seat next to me and seemed frustrated about getting constantly outdrawn and even warned me about what the players had been showing down. seems loose and agg. he is in the bb here

flop: k 8 4 rainbow

checked to me i bet villian and another calls

turn: k 8 4 (8)

villian bets out, fold and i raise

Why would you raise this?? If he has an 8, he'll 3-bet you and you'll probably have to fold. If he has nothing, he'll fold right there because there's no draw on the board, so you won't make that one extra bet from having him bluff the river as well. Same goes for a small pocket pair. The only hand that you beat and that is paying you off is a K with a worse kicker.

This seems like an obvious call to me.
