Has anyone here (a pro or semi-pro) been asked to sit in on a game of another player? I'm wondering if that would be practical, just to see where I'm making my mistakes.

I am trying to teach two of my friends how to play poker and they recently have been getting up to the local casino where I play a few days a week. I try to get at them same tableso I can keep an eye on them. If they play a hand in a way that appears wierd to me we'll get up from the table and talk it over. Everyone at this casino who knows what collusion is knows me on a first name basis and is aware that we're just talking about a hand. They can also clearly tell by the play of our hands as we will go toe toe toe in pots. I fell I'm able to give them very solid information from being at the same table with them.

I'm referring to having someone sit in on my hand in an online game. We could talk it through via instand messenger. Now, I'm not asking for advice during actual play, but after the play as in after I've won, lost, or folded the hand.

I have had people send me 100 or more hands to review. I look through them and tell them if I would play this different.

I've also sat next to some of my friends playing online (next to them in a chair) and watched them play.

Talking during messenger, yes, do it all the time, my friend and I both play a lot, so we will msg rarely but sometimes during a hand. But we never sit at same table.
