500 Chips Starting Tourny

At my local B&M cardroom they have daily rebuy tournaments, with starting chips of 500, blinds 10-20 and increase every 15 min.

Now I am usally a tight player, but I did not survive in this tournmanet past the 4 round. I didnt rebuy once, i double twice, but once the blinds got up to 100-200 i had only around 1200 chips, you cant really play tight on these blinds.

What are some suggestions you guys can give to play at this tournament, also you can not rebuy right away, though you can double rebuy if you have 0 chips.

Am I forced to switch to aggresive mode?

Yes. You need to be more aggressive, and a little looser to survive a tournament like this with small chip start and quick blind increases. Because it is going to be so quick into the higher limits I would change my call/raise requirements down a notch - all the middle position hands I call/raise with I would move over to early position, etc.
