holy cow!!
i thought paying $800-$1k for a nice monitor was kind of extreme.

Well, considering you can play 4 tables with no overlap on a 19-inch no-name monitor you can buy on sale for under $100, I'd rather do that and keep the other $5,900 to lose at poker.

If you buy 2 you can play up to 16 tables!!
You'll have that 6K back in no time! ;-)

6K is worth the money if you really need that resolution. Pity that is such a small surface. I have 1600*1200 on a 23". This res on a 22" will be very small.
The new apple flatscreen is awsome too. 30"!!!

Its really sweet! However, a simpler solution is to just take 2 of the vp211b monitors side by side and save $3000. Their edges are nice and thin.

I think it would be 16. Its twice the width and twice the height, so it should be 4 times the area.

It's kinda small though, isn't it?

If we're up in the fantasy range anyway I want a 32" monitor.

Hey Cubs,

Are you just mentioning this item, or are you currently playing two monitors with 6-8 tables? If so, how do you feel your play is with that many tables?

Dog

The most number of tables i currently play is 4 because im on a laptop with a low res and also because i run into memory problems. I will be in the market for a new desktop in the next few months and will be looking to get a dual monitor setup but i will have to settle for 2 CRTs. While the LSDs are nice, i dont think it is worth the extra $800 per monitor to save on desk space....my desk is plenty big so i can handle those hefty CRTs.
