I don't want to turn this into a bad beat post, and please feel free give any critcisms if you feel it is.

Basically I am asking if the streakiness I am running into is pretty much part for the course or if it seems to be extreme.

Another thing I wanted to point out is how often 4 of a kind hits on party poker since they had the bad beat jackpot. What are the odds of seeing 4 four of a kind's in 5 days? I have actually seen it much more often than that sometimes, like 5 times in 2 days. Seems almost impossible to me.

Really appreciate any suggestions/notes/critiques.

What are the odds of seeing 4 four of a kind's in 5 days?

I recently went out vs one royal, two straight flushes and some (I think two) four of a kinds in under 24 hours.

It's natural I'm afraid /images/graemlins/frown.gif

i saw two quads in a row a couple of weeks back.

if it can happen, eventually it will. and if you play enough games youll see it.

im happy to tell you, these are natural streaks. you will also ride very fast GOOD streaks. however i came on now to post a similiar question, only mine isnt over such a small sample.

for the past two weeks ive had no luck at all, and its not the internet is rigged because its also live, and on different sites. ive taken a few days off, came back and nothing seems to be changing.

to spare the beats i know we've all been through; long losing streaks with Aces, losing to dominated hands, and the random being called allin by some rag hand that really shouldnt have even limped initially, i want to ask how long can i expect the most tremendous bad luck streaks to last.

in the winter last year i played several sit&gos and tracked my results. after 300 tournaments i had a proven 42% ROI. i have not made any major adjustments to my play since then, but my new BR has been decimated and i guess i just need advice.

does anyone believe its just a bad streak that will shut off, is it bad "karma"? do i need a much longer break? is it a personal confidence im beginning to lack after so many suckouts? just want to hear from everyone, as im ready to begin winning ASAP /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

All bad streaks will come to an end. That is if you are a decent player who knows the game. In other words, if you don't blow all your dough on long shots and gut feelings, the streak will end and when it does it will feel oh so good.

I just went through a bad streak myself. I hate the losing streaks as much as the next person, and when you are in the middle of one, it can feel down right horrible when you are getting pummeled left and right. The thing you have to remember is that poker is a game for the long haul. Use the bad streaks to critique and analyze your game. Make those tiny adjustments that we all need to make from time to time and eventually the cards will start falling in your direction again. As frustrating as the bad streaks can be, just remember that they are the pause between the winning ones. Hope this helped.

I like the idea of analyzing your HH's.

During my last *dry* streak, I found I started playing weak/tight( i.e. death in NL)

I think the bad beats made me gun shy and I started limping with good hands and limping with dodgy ones too.

When I realized this and went back to good aggressive play, things went back to normal (as normal as on-line NLHE gets I guess /images/graemlins/smile.gif)

I then put a post-it note on my computer that says "AGGRO OR NO-GO", which helped get me get back to playing a good aggressive game.

Keep at it.
