The rest of the world has improved in basketball and the NBA players IMO in the aggregate have a quite a bit of room for improvement in perimeter shooting.

You are definitely correct on lack of perimeter shooting ability on the USA team and its even more noticeable given the penchant the other international teams have for the 3 pt shot. That being said, I dont think the USA team is going a good job of taking advantage of their strengths, their athleticism and ability to improvise. Sure the other teams have gameplanned against that to a degree with all the zone they have been playing. But I think the US just needs to be super aggressive on defense and take every opportunity to speed up the game.

Yep, finally. Jeez, they are costing me lots of nerves. I´ve bet € 200 before the tourney for them to win the gold medal. Looked like this was the safest bet on earth. No more /images/graemlins/crazy.gif /images/graemlins/confused.gif
