2nd hand of Party $30 3-table.
UTG limps, others do stuff, i have KK on button and raise to 110, UTG reraises to 400.

Do you fold? Does he do this with something other than aces?

If he is a good low level Party player, he does this with AA-JJ, AKs and occasionally AKo.

If he's a bad one, I don't really know or care.

Since this is the third hand, I don't really know or care.

Hey gergery,

You reraise all-in here. Here's my logic.

1) I don't think I can lay down KK here. Too many players will make this move with things like QQ, or even JJ or AK to allow me to realistically muck unless I know this player to be solid (read: above average).

2) I don't like just calling here either. Putting in 40% of my stack preflop, and then having to consider folding if an ace flops and I'm faced with a decision is not a situation I want to be in.

3) Your reraise all-in may force your opponent (if he's the LAG-gy type) to throw away even a semi-bluff (a hand like AJs for example).

You will occasionally run into AA here, but that's the nice thing about Party. If you do, there'll always be another tourney starting soon. I think most of the time you'll be well enough ahead to make this play worth going for.

Hope it turned out OK for you.
