i really like the look of these a lot. The problem is I've never seen them anywhere else, nowhere. Additionally, if you notice this is the seller's first auction as he has ZERO feedback. I'd be skeptical buying from this guy, unless he can provide samples. I also don't like the fact that in one of the questions for the Seller on the three sets he's selling, he is asked if he selling them anywhere other than eBay and he states he's only selling them via auction. What's up with that?

If you would like to have semi-real chips these are the ones to get. I personally do not like the feel and sound of the chips with the metal insert. They sound like 1/2 dollars spashing the pot. The price of these chips are about 1/2 of the real clay ones. You make the investment now in real clay chips you will be very happy in the long run.

Poker Chip Mart (http://www.pokerchipmart.com) sells pretty good chips without the metal insert. They're not real clay (injection molded... I think it's ABS but I'm not sure), but then again neither are the WSOP chips. I think they're 9 grams, and the best part is the metal-free composition. No more half-dollar sound when you splash the pot.

They also stack much better than the suited/diamond/dice chips. The other awesome thing about them is the price - $12 for 50 if you want blank, and $15 if you want the pretty designs. Many places sell the POS suited/diamond/dice chips for much, much more than these.

They're not Chipco quality, but I think they're the best value of any "cheap" chip out there.

These (http://www.pokerchipmart.com/pokerChips9GramClay.html) are the chips I was talking about. They, unfortunately, cannot be customized.

You may be right about them certainly being the best of the cheap chips, but they are still not great looking chips.

I agree - they don't look spectacular, but for the price they're pretty nice. For a few bucks more you can buy the same chips with designs in the center. On Ebay, you can sometimes find a great deal and get the 'designer' chips for cheaper than the blanks.

I like how the seller is trying to advertise the "metal clack" sound as being a good thing. Anyone who has ever played with chips that make this sound knows how annoying it is.
