- not sure if this breaking news or not.

Kind of cool to see some "locals" appear outside of 2+2

that rocks...

of course the article doesn't mention Zee's opponents bitching him out for playing A2 suited...but WTF... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

but I see it's also mentioned here....looks like a 2+2 guy wrote it

interesting.

the writer's name is jason strasser. is that a guy we know from 2+2 at all (sounds familiar)??

he knew the basics but didn't come off as much of a poker player to me.

suggesting that one should read TOP 'as a primer' and then read Hold-Em Poker AFTER that is kind of weird.

congrats to the publicity for David and Zee. pretty cool.

i seem to recall there was supposed to be some other article or two out there that included david ross but never tracked those down. i would be interested in reading them if anyone has links.

In his thread about this article, he repeatedly mentioned that he had to keep "dumbing it down" so that his publishers would approve it for John Q. Public.

I've seen his post here, and he is a fine player, as far as I can tell.

I was going to mention how coincidental it was for twoplustwo'ers to make it into BW, until I saw the byline. All makes sense now. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

What's the situation with the legality of poker online. I've read how things are tenuous, but it's right now technically i guess..'not illegal'? I don't know what I'm talking about.

Just curious because noting that the article mentioned Z is 18, I wondered what potential issues that could bring up, if the law would care, could do anything as a result, etc. Just curious. Certainly I don't *want* anything to happen to him! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I wonder if the IRS will see the article with Justin's name, hometown, and $90,000 in earnings and come a knockin'...

that doesn't seem terribly likely to me. but what do i know?? it's not like i work for the IRS or have ever had any serious run-ins with them.

david is significantly safer than justin though (since he's canadian, eh?)

hopefully they dont.....but if I was 18 and making huge money playing poker, I damn sure wouldnt want my name published in a huge magazine.
