Opponent was a LAG. Any 2 card will do. Hes shown some real doozies though and is currently SS.

<font color="CC3333">SB bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero raises</font>, UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, CO folds, SB calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) A/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="blue">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="CC3333">Hero bets</font>, SB calls.

River: (6.50 BB) J/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="blue">(2 players)</font>

Who raises the rivr vs. calling??

Ask yourself what the J /images/graemlins/spade.gif did.

It didn't make a bigger straight for SB for he would have shown more action on the flop or turn.

This is really opponent dependent, and it also depends on your discipline, but if you know your opponent will bet with 2 pair in this spot, you can raise, but only if you can lay it down to a 3-bet.

If you don't have that discipline, then just call. It's most likely SB is betting out a flush.

Combining your description of the SB and the fact that he'd probably check-raise a rivered flush, I'd be tempted to raise the river.

It seems more likely to me he's betting a scare card hoping you'll muck like so many PP players are apt to do.

P.S. Against an unknown, I just call. And I don't know if I have the discipline to lay down to a 3-bet. :/

I called and opponent showed 83o. I still think calling was the right move though.

i would call also. however, i would bet if checked to.
