Looking for hotel near these 2 hotels but a bit cheaper,i do not intend spending a lot of time sleeping on this trip, mainly cards so am not looking for 5 star.

Anybody know a good hotel within walking distance or short cab ride thanks.

Harrah's or Flamingo Hilton both

is to go to the Commerce instead. I'm sure they would let you reserve a spot in the VIP lot. Then all you have to do is pitch a camping tent. It's the most economical way to go. You don't have to drive anywhere and the Commerce gives the mid-limit players free food. Plus you get a great big screen TV when you are playing. I didn't see one of those at the Bellagio.

the cheapest non-comp weekend rate is motel 6...yeah i know...but hey it's only about 35.oo per nite during week, which you can beat or match , however the weeklend rate of 55.00 fri/sat nit is hard to beat...walk .5 miles to trop...hey just an idea...gl...you can walk to monte carlo and take tram to bellagio...just a thought...the key is they allow dogs...gotta love em..lol..gl

I stayed at the Flamingo a few weeks ago. Great rates, nice hotel, and easy walking distance to the Mirage and Bellagio. If you feel like playing some low-limt, they have the easiest 4-8 games right downstairs. A good game to get drunk at with some friends!

In addition to the Flamingo and Harrahs which have already been mentioned, there are a few smaller hotels which will probably have cheaper rates than either of those two:

Barbary Coast

Imperial Palace

O'Shea's (Does this have a hotel attached or is it just a casino?)

Dynasty, back me up on this one.

The 2 tacos or pint of Tecate for 99 cents at O'Sheas must be the world's greatest food deal. Do they still do it?

hbk- The hotel choices listed are all ok (except Motel 6 - YUCK /images/ohwell.gif More important, however, is whether you will rendevous with the Babe on this trip? When do you arrive?

Yes, they do it during weekdays. Those muthers are huge too. 4 tacos for $1.98 is by far the best deal in that area for food.

That's a horrible thought - MY dog in Las Vegas. Would the Bellagio let me bring him in? He'd have a good time. Nobody else would though.

Thanks for all the advice,

I had shortlisted Flamingo, circus, hilton or Ballys all work out about same (average 70 bucks a night for week).

Noo Hawk has swayed me towards Flamingo,by the way are these prices about right?

Babe this time i will play with you!I need to see if my game is up to scratch and im sure i will find out against you.

I did play 10-20 before but found the game to be granite,i preferred the 8-16( more action) or is that a bit small for you Babe?

I will be arriving early August,(need to book now though)

Do you play the Mirage comps, because they are more my thing, look forward to seeing you anyway.

Circus Circus is about 1/2 - 2/3 a mile away from the Mirage. The Hilton is more than a mile away from the Mirage and isn't even on the Strip. So, either Bally's (right across street from Bellagio) or the Flamingo would be a far superior choice.

Thanks Dynasty i am now down to two to choose from ,the fact that there might be an easy 4/8 game to get me out of trouble after the Pokerbabe has finished with me steers me towards the Flamingo unless the general concesus is that Ballys is better.

hbk, Any game, any time. See ya in August - just name the time and place. Have a safe trip. Babe

if you are willing to play 4-8 holdem or 1-5 stud at the flamingo for part of your visit it is not hard to get the poker room rate, about $50.00...have never stayed at bally's but i like the flamingo fine, they have a great pool to relax by as well as a crableg buffet that i have always enjoyed...if you give harrahs a little blackjack or craps action it is not hard to get free rooms there, but be careful, lest your free rooms cost you a grand or two, heh. good luck...

Thanks All for help,Flamingos it is then.

Have already had one of those free room experiences via the craps tables lol (never again)
