Maybe. The infamous "big-big game" at Bellagio consisted of, I believe, a series of $1MM freezouts. It was a team of WCPs vs. a newbie banker. They certainly had edge there.

On the other hand, sometimes people just like to mix it up. For instance, according to an article I just read, the top prize of the Bench Press Championship is only $2,500. If you break that down to hourly rate, it doesn't seem like a good play.
