Help choose photo for the Egyptian $1 chip

It looks like we are overwhelmingly in favor of adding a $1 chip to my set. I've chosen the Anubis for the chip. Now I need opinions on the photos.

Please look at the following photos and choose as many as you like in the poll below. Keep in mind that the photos will likely be retouched before use, to remove background images or colors.

I checked 4 when I meant to check 5.

Therefore, the vote for 4 is one too high, and the vote for 5 is one too low.

So far everyone is picking #5, the Anubis in the chair. Can some of you tell me why? Also, do you think it'll go well with the $5 chip with a similar posed pharoah? We can al least mirror-flip it.

Dunno.

My fave is really number 8, but I chose number 5 because it seems like it's simple enough. I mean, given the quality of graphics that you can realistically get on a chip, a lot of the others just seem too busy.

I picked 5, 7 and 8. I believe 5 will be the one that translates most easily to a chip. 8 is tres cool but somehow I don't expect it would look good shrunk down to chip size and processed (granted, I don't know how detailed they can get on these things; it just seems like it would be tough). 7 has similar shading issues and whatnot that I'm not sure would come across effectively on a poker chip.

I think #5 looks too much like the $5 chip (even if it was mirror flipped). I like number #7. It will give the set a little more variety. My 2 cents.

I voted 5, but if you focused 7 on the area with the moon as the background that would be slick too. I really like 5 and 7 the best. I don't like the first 4 but anything from 5 to 8 is pretty slick really.

Change in plans regarding the $1. Although I like the idea of Anubis on the $1, none of these photos are going to work out. #5 looks too much like the $5 chip. #2 will just not work too well on a small round chip, while leaving enough background to let the white show through. #8 won't fit the theme, and #1 and #7 have copyright issues.

After speaking to the chip artist, we've decided to make the $1 a cartouche piece. We'll take the cartouche off of the other chips (I didn't like it there) and make it more ornate on the $1. (Maybe turn it into two separate cartouches) This way more white can shine through the center of the cartouche, and around it making the white more “visible” for use in games.

Also, he also told me that the symbols he chose on the cartouche are Cagle's Oasis (phonetically spelled) not Poker Oasis. I have to decide which to use before he designs the $1. Picture this old Luxor chip, but less "busy" and more "rich" looking:
