Vacation Bankroll -- enough to cover 4/8?

How much would you say one needs to sit comfortably at 4/8 (no kill) for a few days & cover the swings? Clearly, I'm not trying to make a living at this level, so the 300BB rule is out the window. Furthermore, with the blinds 1 and 2, I take it tight post-flop play will further reduce the needed 'roll. Any ideas?

i'd go about 40BB per 6 hour session.

$600 - When playing 4-8 - I set a downside stop at $300 per day - If you lose all $600 after 2 days you should probably call it quits for the trip and re-evaluate your play.

I brought $2k for a three-day Vegas trip, playing 3/6, 4/8 & 6/12. I'm very conservative with BR, and half that would have been fine (actually, I could have gotten by bringing just $200, because I never got down below -$50 at any time /images/graemlins/cool.gif)

$600 to $1200 for a risk of ruin below 5% depending upon how good you are, assuming you're going to play 2 to 3 eight hour days.
