Not only does she look old and out of shape, her voice is totally gone and it seems she can barely talk at times. She used to be good. Wow.

For christ's sake it's been about 20 years... man, I feel sorry for your future wife!

Hey, my future wife better be able to talk without her voice cracking in 20 years, that's for sure.

I thought the same thing.

She was also talking really slow. My wife and I think she must have a medical condition - and that's why she left TV

Gayle Gardner is nowhere in the same league Pele is as a soccer player, but GG was a Sportscenter anchor from 1983-1987, and they brought her back for "old school" sportscenter. If you over-taped the ESPN WSOP on Tuesday by a few minutes like I do, you might catch a few minutes of her.

About any of the ESPN Old School stuff? I want the scores and the sports news, I don't care about the old announcers and all that talk about the good old days of 1997. I watched 15 minutes the other night and I won't watch again until the Old School stuff is over.

SportsCenter has fallen a looooong way. It's now just a vehicle for ESPN to promote itself.

Phil Mushnick wrote a column about this recently; I would try to find a link but I figure you can Google as well as I can.
