Party Poker 15/30, full game

One of the weaknesses of my game, to be sure, is leaving money on the table on the river. I don't think this is one of those situations, but let me see if you disagree.

I raise from the CO+1 with A /images/graemlins/diamond.gifK /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. The small blind, who is a complete moron, calls, as does the big blind, on whom I have no read.

Flop is T /images/graemlins/heart.gif7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif6 /images/graemlins/spade.gif. Checked to me, I bet, and am called in both spots.

The turn is the T /images/graemlins/spade.gif. It's checked to me and I check.

The river is the A /images/graemlins/spade.gif. Again, both blinds check, and I think for a while and check.

Anyone bet?

I would not bet here either. If there had only been 1 opponent, I'd probably bet.

For the possibility of a crying call from...what?

Checking is fine.

whatever you decide on the river, any mistake made will be much less grave than the clear mistake of checking the turn

I think this is a close call, given that I can't call a raise and the ultimate scare card hits the turn.

Gall I read bad. I didn't see the 4th spade hit. I still think you have the best hand but I doubt any spade will fold.

You could make a case for betting and hoping a super low spade folds but I just check, here.

Sorry bout the confusion.

Wholeheartedly agree. Betting the turn is critical.

The fact that you can fold to a raise actually makes the turn bet easier.

I agree that betting the turn is probably right here. If you meet any resistance you can easily fold. Since you didnt' bet the turn, I think checking the river is best. Even a bad flush won't ford to your bet there.

I agree with this. If the turn had been a J of spades, I probably check through as I'd have to call a raise.
