My ex-wife has Charter Pipeline Bronze for $39. I have the Gold plan for $59. My daughter told me, and I agree, that my ex's connection is faster than mine. We bought similar models of computers weeks apart. I understand that the speed you actually get will depend on how many users are on your 'circuit'.

Is there a site that could tell me what my download and upload speeds are? I may be paying for Gold service but actually be receiving less than the Bronze service. Thank you for any help you may provide.

Thank you,

Jim Kuhn

check out www.bandwidthconnection.com/speedtest (http://www.bandwidthconnection.com/speedtest)
or just search for cable modem/dsl speed tests with google, there is about a million of them, based in different loactions to make sure its your connection and not a slow server somewhere

Thanks alot for the info everyone. I also found this site which has links to dozens of testing sites: http://www.dslreports.com/stest?more=1 I am getting around 800k download and 140k upload. The ex is only getting 300k down and 180k upload.

Thank you,
