I've never had my ID scanned, but it is a NJ ID so there is nothing to scan on it. However, if you are caught using a fake ID the penalty is very severe in most states, for instance I know people who have been fairly harshly fined, brought to the station and booked etc... In many states, they will pretty much automatically revoke your driver's license for like 6 months, which could be a real bummer if you have a job or something. If they catch you gambling underage, I think they will just kick you out usually, but lots of states are really cracking down on the fake ID's now. If you are 18 there are a number of places you can play legally, so it might not be worth the risk.

if you won a huge jackpot, surely they would find out your true age when satisfying irs regulations, and guess what, they would revoke the prize, since you clearly must be of legal age to win...no joke...gl

Don't use a fake ID....most casinos in AC at least won't card you unless u look like a child. And if asked for ID, you say you don't have one...they ask you to go, u leave, no questions asked. But it probably won't happen. I'm 22 now, but have been playing since well before I was 21.

I will give some tip as I play underage in NJ. Once you get in and begin to play, GET a COMP CARD with your fake age. In my experience, once you have this , it is better than ID. I laugh at the fools who try to ID me when I walk through the door.

Im 20 and I have never been carded at a casino, unless I tried to order alcohol.I have played in LA, Las Vegas , AC and some other random casinos. I look about 20, no older, and I think if you dress ok, and just come and play poker, you shouldnt have a problem.
