I was playing in a 1/2 NL ring game last week, and myself and another player eventually were All In pre flop.
The dealer would not lay down the flop until we both turned our cards over.
I thought that this only applied to tournaments, that you must show your hole cards?
If this is indeed a hard and fast rule, anyone have a link to a rules site showing said rule?

correct, you only have to show all-in hands in tournaments.

Casinos might have their own rule on this, probably in the fine unreadable print....
In all poker situations, I am usually the first to fling over my cards even when I am 99.9% sure I am toast....
I should never be accused of slow-rolling....
I want the hand over and bring on the NEXT... just slows game down...

I have never seen this in cash games, although some dealers seem to think it is a rule. I call the floor when this happens, and have never had it ruled we had to flip. having the dealer ask me to flip my cards when allin is a pet peeve of mine, as it is a courtesy between players and most definitely not a rule.
