View Full Version : Intertops -- What would you do?

I decided to check out Intertops, since I know they feed into the same rooms as PP and EP.

Well, I go to their website, and they're advertising 20% up to $100, so I make a $500 deposit, carefully enter their "EARN20" bonus code, and wait for my account to come up - only it's showing a $75 bonus, rather than $100.

So I write them.

I'm not exactly happy with the quality of customer service so far.

Now here's the question. Do you cash out - if not for the misleading website, then in protest of the "customer service" the site offers?

Or do you go ahead and play for the $75?

EMAIL EXCHANGE STARTS BELOW

Dear VishalS,

I did not use the bonuse code "WELCOME75."

I did not know the bonus code "WELCOME75" existed until you started claiming I'd used it.

If Intertops doesn't want to give me the $25, that's one thing.

But calling me a liar is just adds insult to injury.

Grrr.

Even though Intertops ACCEPTS money from your Neteller account, apparently they won't return it that way.

Apparently they only have three options for cashout, none of which work for me.

What a mistake. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

They do allow you to cashout to Neteller, it's just a little convoluted. Cashout from InteropsPoker to InterTops.com (one of the options somewhere in the Withdraw process). If I remember correctly, it takes about a day for your money to show up in Intertops.com (you can log into their website with the same userid/password as the poker site). When the money shows up there, you can cashout from Intertops.com to Neteller. They'll even let you cashout the cents.

In my opinion, play through the $75 bonus and don't go back. True, they screwed you and it would be nice to make a statement, but they aren't really going to care. You'll just be costing yourself $75. After all the hassle, you might as well get something out of it.

I had the same thing happen. I deposited yesterday and cleared it already. Yeah, its $25 less but, its super easy to clear. Grab the cash. I didn't complain because i had a call after my deposit from paypro security with an indian dude telling me I'm not supposed to have a party, empire and intertops account. I played stupid and acted like I didn't know they were all the same place. He let it slide and asked me to send a preferred customer application. Thats not going to happen.

I didn't want to make further waves by complaining about free money.

The cashout to intertops.com took 15 minutes. I requested neteller and am still waiting. But, the site says they try to process it within 24 hours. no big deal.

I say play it through.

I cashed out of Intertops.com on Sunday evening and it's in my Neteller account this morning (Tuesday). Their cashouts are pretty quick, though not as fast as Party.

Try emailing customer service at bet@intertops.com. Intertops customer service is separate from IntertopsPoker customer service. I'm not sure they can help you but my experience is that Intertops customer service is friendly, responsive and helpful. Tell them your story and that you haven't received satisfactory responses from IntertopsPoker customer service (I bet this won't surprise them) and see if they can help. As I say, I'm not sure they can but it can't hurt.

Good advice.

I got the same call from the Indian dude, by the way.

He asked me if I have accounts at other sites - I was noncommital - (what business is it of theirs?) and then he asked me to be a "preferred customer" too.

Thanks.

That's probably what I'll do.

I appreciate the Intertops.com tip. Being able to get the money cashed back to Neteller will make life easier for me.

The $25 wasn't that big of a deal - but the way they responded - first with spam, and then with accusations that I was lying - was aggravating.

Signed up with Intertops yesterday, with the exact same problem.
I too, used EARN20, but they stated that I had used WELCOME75, although I've never seen that code, other than in your post.
After several emails however, they offered to issue an extra $25 bonus.
Furthermore I had been referred by a friend, and even though I entered the referral code FRIENDS-TAF15 upon signing up, they claimed that the correct procedure hadn't been followed.

For new clients at Intertops, I don't remember whether theres a box for comments upon signing up. If not, I'd suggest you email them at info@intertopspoker.com immideately after signing up stating, that you've been informed that there may be some problems with their bonuses, so you just wanted to let them know, that you used code EARN20. That ought to eliminate a big part of the hassle (hopefully).

I'm not sure I understand. They were supposed to give you $100, but instead only gave you $75. So to teach them a lesson, you're not going to accept anything? Sounds kind of silly to me.
