I currently play Party .5/1 and UB .25/.5 or .5/1 -

I'm considering a stab at the $90 Interpoker bonus; am I correct that their cheapest game is 1/2? Is this game comparable to what I'm playing now? Tougher?

Thanks,
jd

Yes the 1/2 games are comparable to what you are playing. There are a ton of calling stations. Just watch the games there though there are a few solid players who like to raid the low limit games. While I was clearing my $90 bonus this month I made another $150...

Yes, 1/2 is the lowest game.
Generally speaking, the players there suck, and there are a lot of maniacs. It seems that a lot of gamboolers filter in from the casino site.
However, due to the bonuses monthly bonuses offered across virtually all of the skins, it has become a popular place with bonus whores (it's pretty common now for a person to sit down and ask "whose a bw here", and get several affirmative responses). There has been a large influx of pretty good players.
Then this month came along... The $90 bonus (along with the backlog of casino bonuses that many people have) has brought many of them out of the woodwork. When you sit down at the best table going, you are lucky if there is only one or two other good players there.

There are still a lot of bad players, so the games are still somewhat profitable in themselves, but I used to be able to autopilot 3 tables and regularly make as much from winnings as the bonus. Now, I have to concentrate and play tight to eek by with a small win or a small loss.

For the sake of the bonus, the site is good. For the sake of the games, it has gone a little downhill. It's not as bad as Stars by any comparison, but it ain't no Party either. Hopefully people will get bored with the bonuses or get sick of the software and go away.

Hmm, I still think the players are much worse than Party in general. A lot of the BWers come out of the woodwork in US evening hours. If you want to play against the worst players, play during UK evening hours. I suggest playing from 3PM to 9PM EST as a general guideline for when to play at the Crypto sites. After 9PM I jump on over to Party/Paradise or wherever else I may be clearing a bonus.

True. When I can squeeze in an hour or so before work (about 7-8 EST), the games seem to be much better. Unfortunatly, I have get through 2050 hands this month at IP, so I'm stuck having to play US evenings as well.

Yeah I have to get through 1400 hands. I'm saving those for the last of the cryptos...I do not look forward to it.

Thanks for the info - Another question: does IP make their hand histories available? If so, are they compatible with pokertracker?

Currently I believe you can only look up hand histories through the client (by using the log viewer). They also do not show player's mucked cards even when they call on the river, unfortunately. I don't think it's PokerTracker compatible at this time, but the last I heart Pat was working on it.

Crypto sites rake up to $3.00 per pot at the 1-2 limit levels.

People think they have great bonuses.

People don't understand rake structures.

Ah, the answer to a question nobody asked.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. No rake is a great idea. Come back when there is a no-rake site in the world that does not blow. In the meantime, I will continue to cashout my very lucrative Crypto bonuses (which, when 3-tabling, pay about $20-30/hour), by which somehow I am being screwed. But then again, we's people is stoopid.

Have a nive day.
